Auburn Edu.org
A Student Services Portal
Auburn Edu is a social enterprise/co-operative centred upon the principle of serving the community by supplying information on key ESOL, TEFL, TEFL Teaching Methods and Lesson Plans, and Job Alert Boards. As a social enterprise we support the British Dyslexia Association. With more and more government cutbacks on student services, and rising tuition costs we also provide information and links to resources for those with this learning disability.
With macroeconomic trends shifting to “glocal markets” (global reach & local control) functional and basic English skills are growing in importance. These include English speaking and writing skills (the language of international business). TEFL teaching opportunities are on the rise with the demand for TEFL certified teachers also increasing.
We also recognise the importance of the Third Sector – the fastest growing sector in our economy. This sector is centred upon sound humanistic principles. The organisations therein are by structure balanced between the needs of the people that make up the organisation and the communities they serve (organisations and communities benefiting together) providing a win-win relationship that is truly sustainable.
Affordable, quality education is more important than ever before. That’s one reason we recommend online schools and continuing education opportunities – with the exception of English Summer programs where a face-to-face classroom environment is so important.
We are also developing affiliate relationships with providers of traineeships and apprenticeships in the media arts, including alternative news sources and radio stations – FusionFM, ClassicalDab and TCNN (The Citizens News Network) to mention a few. With our extensive connections throughout the Third Sector, the fastest growing sector of our economy, numerous opportunities for work experience and employment opportunities are being developed. See our Job Alert Boards for further details.
